Tape and Hard Drive Degaussing
Degaussing is the process of decreasing or eliminating an unwanted magnetic field.
A degausser is a device that can generate a magnetic field for degaussing magnetic storage media like tapes and hard drives.
For failed or older storage media, KruseCom uses (on-site at a client location or in our KruseCom facility) a DoD grade degaussing machine to permanently destroy the storage media.
