OEM MEMORY vs. 100% COMPATIBLE MEMORY
KruseCom sells Memory. One particular transaction illustrates the value that KruseCom can deliver in memory upgrades.
A Wall Street bank seeking memory upgrades for their SUN servers contacted KruseCom seeking upgrade parts. KruseCom responded with two options.
OEM Memory: KruseCom offered to supply the bank with SUN memory sticks with a SUN logo sticker, manufactured at a Samsung factory. The sale price was $8,000 per memory stick.
100% Compatible Memory: Alternatively, KruseCom offered to supply the same memory sticks, manufactured at the same Samsung factory, without the SUN logo sticker. The sale price was $1,800 per memory stick.
Which option would you choose?
